It’s a juxtaposition that makes just about as much sense as the fact it doesn’t make any sense at all. I’m also completely sober right now.
I did everything from eating lox on the LES to dancing like a whirling dervish in the DJ booth at The Standard. Walking the length of the entire High Line to doing $2 shots with the equivalent of the Jersey Shore cast, Snooks included. Drinking negronis at Balthazar for brunch to enjoying a blunt on the sidewalk with a stranger. Saw the absolute wonder that is the Savage Beauty Alexander McQueen exhibit at the Met all the way to the Lynda Benglis sculpture “Smile” at The New Museum (go ahead, google that one up.) I ate caviar on carpaccio only to turn around the next day and eat a stack of mac n cheese pancakes at Shopsin’s. And believe me when I say that’s just touching the tip of the iceberg. All the while I was surrounded by some of my favorite people on earth.
Good fucking times.
Yeah, this number definitely came up in NYC on one more than one occasion.
