It’s looking like an unusually good start to summer this weekend. Last night, Edward Sharpe. Today, the beach.
Shit is frrrreshhhh.
An old boyfriend introduced me to the sweet groove of Erykah a few years back and I fell in love. She’s coming to Chicago April 7th and I need a date ( male or female) to go with. I’ll bring the green, we both bring our dancing shoes and sense of adventure.
And this isn’t the 1st time I’ve been in this situation (looking at you, Kumas.) smh.
So looking forward to this Wednesday. The Blue Line’s $5 martini night is one of my favorite happy hours in the city.
My favorite shoe joint in Chicago, Lori’s, just had it’s 30 year anniversary and to celebrate, launched their own line of kicks. The whole collection is pretty great, but I’m especially loving this crimson pair. It’s Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz all grown up.
My main living room wall is currently sporting a huge oil canvas of the city skyline created sometime during the early nineties, but these prints from CB2 would look about a million times better. Created by Matthew Lew, each print is a manipulated image of the Wrigley Building, Marina Towers, the El tracks, and the Hancock. As a plus, they are on sale, so feel free to send my way as an early Xmas present.
